Payment details stay with the payment flow

You enter payment information on Stripe’s hosted checkout. This website does not provide its own card-entry form or store full card details. Stripe and the payment methods you choose process the information they need under their applicable notices. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy and the terms shown in checkout.

The creator can view merchant payment records in Stripe, including information needed to confirm the amount, currency and payment status and to handle support, accounting, errors and disputes. A payer’s email is used for payment-related administration and your acknowledgement request, not an automatic newsletter subscription. No public phone field or SMS signup is part of this website contribution flow.

A recognition request is optional

No public entry is created by default. The optional request page lets you preview exactly the public fields you are asking to share. Each permission is separate: public entry, name or Anonymous, message, amount, self-described location and Spectatores Originis label. Anonymous hides identifying name and location fields. The request does not infer a location from billing details or an IP address.

The request is prepared in your browser and opens an editable draft in your configured email application. You review and send that email yourself; opening a draft does not submit it. A copy-address fallback is provided. Unsaved form choices are not deliberately stored in browser local storage, and no request is sent automatically to a website database. Your email provider handles a draft or sent email under its own terms.

Anything you put into an acknowledgement message may identify you, even if you choose Anonymous. Keep private contact, medical, family, billing and payment information out of a public message. A private payment reference, if needed for verification, belongs only in your email to the creator and is excluded from the public preview.

Verification, moderation and publication

The creator verifies the actual successful payment in Stripe and reviews your explicit choices before publishing an entry. A typed amount, screenshot, email request or browser return is not accepted on its own as proof. No public testimonial or donor entry is fabricated.

The public entry includes only the fields you permit after moderation. It excludes payment and receipt identifiers, emails, billing information and phone numbers. Public entries can be read, copied and indexed by others. Names, amounts, locations, messages and labels are optional; you can support the work privately.

Private payment and request records are kept only as needed to administer the contribution and acknowledgement, maintain relevant records and meet applicable obligations. No fixed deletion period is promised for records that must be retained for accounting or disputes. You may ask what is held about your acknowledgement and request correction or removal of its public display.

Change your public choice

Send a correction, withdrawal or removal request to protopomorphogenia@gmail.com. Include enough private context to find the entry without publishing payment information. Changes are reviewed by a person. Removal from this site does not guarantee removal of third-party copies or search caches.

Email updates are independent

If you want free publication emails, choose the free plan through the separate Substack signup. Substack handles that address and subscription. A contribution, acknowledgement request, payment email or service inquiry does not sign you up. You can unsubscribe through a publication email.
