The Growing Series
The series is conceived as an expanding encounter between the beginning and the ending. An initial thirty-three paired-book traversal brings one book forward and its partner backward, verse by verse. A possible further reciprocal pass changes which partner leads, giving the series a potential reach of sixty-six volumes. The later pass changes the receiving context and the responsibilities of interpretation; its writing is not presumed to repeat the first pass.
The established frames are Volume One’s heavenly courtroom and Dispossession, and Volume Two’s Mystery and Disappointment. Future pairings, ordering, the point of transition between passes, and later titles, themes, and injuries remain open. Published contents appear as they become available. An unfinished architecture leaves room for the work to grow without asking readers to navigate empty volumes.
These relations can be considered within mind, heart, soul, spirit, emotion, and bodily life, and across interpersonal, family, workplace, institutional, cultural, and religious settings. Soul and spirit retain their literary and theological dimensions. Comparisons with cells or bodily systems are bounded analogies. Each application must preserve agency, relevant differences, minority and absent voices, and the possibility of disagreement and correction. The aim is fallible stabilization and accountable participation rather than a promised final harmony.
