Browser help

Read in another language

Your browser may translate an English reading into Spanish or another supported language. Use its own Translate controls while the reading page is open.

This is a browser feature. The original English remains the website’s text. There is no website translator, language account or separate translation-service charge here; ordinary connection costs and your browser’s availability still apply.

Chrome on a computer

Open a reading. Use the Translate icon beside the address bar, or right-click the page and choose Translate to…. Select Spanish in the translation options. If the offered target is different, Chrome’s Settings → Languages → Google Translate → Translate into this language lets you choose it.

If translation is disabled, turn on Use Google Translate in that Languages setting. Chrome’s computer instructions.

Chrome on Android phones and tablets

Open a reading, then choose More → Translate if no translation prompt appears. In the translation panel, use its settings and More languages to select Spanish. In More → Settings → Languages, enable the option to offer translation. Advanced → Translate into this language changes your preferred target. Chrome’s Android instructions.

Chrome on iPhone and iPad

Open a reading and choose More → Translate, or use the translation bar. Its settings let you edit the To language to Spanish. If translation is disabled, open More → Settings → Languages and turn on Translate Pages. Chrome’s iPhone and iPad instructions.

Microsoft Edge on a computer

Choose the Translate icon in the address bar. Select Spanish under Translate to, then choose Translate. To enable the offer, open Settings and more → Settings → Languages and turn on Offer to translate pages that aren’t in a language I read. Microsoft’s Edge instructions.

Return to English

Reopen your browser’s translation panel and choose the original English. Edge calls this Show original; Chrome’s wording and language controls vary by device and version. If you previously told the browser never to translate English, review that language in its translation settings.

Automatic wording can miss meaning, especially invented names. Artwork, audio and some interactive labels may remain untranslated. Availability and connection needs vary; translation is not guaranteed to work offline or on every page. Your browser’s provider handles its translation process. This website does not receive the translated text from those browser controls.
