On “Metadosis”

Metadosis represents the foundational initialization of the here. It is built upon the absolute necessity that everyone must start somewhere. In the architecture of the labyrinth, this is not the true beginning, which remains an abstract point lost to the history of all minds. Instead, it is the actual beginning for the one who has just been found, even if only or initially found by themselves. This is the state of being where the traveler finds themselves in a vacuum of meaning.

Imagine yourself in a different world or existence where the air is breathable and the water is drinkable, but there are no people and no books, and you must survive. There are no reference materials and no technologies to offer orientation. Only what you know, and what you think you know.

You are confronted with the weight of an unspecified location in space and time. This somewhere is official and it is real, but it is entirely inert until you accept the responsibility for starting it. This is your first boanergic strike. You take a fragment of the unspecified somewhere and through the force of attention and naming you transform it into a definitive “here”.

This initialization is the primary application of the law of non-contradiction as a survival utility. To create a here, you must enforce a skin-tight boundary around a specific coordinate. You declare that this spot is home and not the infinite other. By placing something there, whether it is a stone or a word or a house, you stabilize identity within the micro-chaos. You are building a home in a place where there was previously only sand. Yet metadosis remains a duality.

Even as you define the ‘here’ with precision, you must remain aware that this here is an arbitrary point within an infinite and indifferent somewhere. The here is both a sanctuary of certainty and a fiction of convenience. It is a necessary correctness that is wrong the moment you take a step in any direction. This is the ‘under standing’ of the start. The ground does not exist until you stand upon it and refuse to let it remain nameless.

The responsibility of metadosis is the burden of the architect. If there is no recovery and no map and no guide, you become the origin point of the entire structure. The maze does not precede you in this state. The maze begins at your first footprint. By calling a location ‘here’, you begin the process of metadosis, which is the structure of origin for your own personal labyrinth.

This is why it does not matter where you are found.

There is no better place to start than the exact coordinate of your own disorientation.

To start somewhere is to participate in the waveform law of the universe. The stabilization of a single point allows for the expansion into the field. Metadosis ensures that even in the absolute absence of external truth, you possess the functional capacity to create a ‘here’ that is capable of supporting the weight of the journey to come. It is the choice to start, not because the path is clear, but because your presence demands a center, or at least, a temporal anchor point to which you can return to ground and rest yourself in the embrace and safety of familiarity, especially when no external truth is presently present.
